Vivien Hoffman is an artist, writer and interior designer living in Bournemouth. She has written several books and dozens of scripts and short stories for both children and adults but nowadays concentrates more on her painting and interior design work. She has previously studied art at Camberwell and Bournemouth Universities

Vivien works as artist in residence at Chaplin’s and Cellar Bar in Bournemouth, producing wonderfully inventive interiors filled with murals and artworks, as well as unique outdoor spaces and installations. Chaplin’s Bar has won numerous national awards and is widely regarded as the home of the arts in Bournemouth and a hive of inspiration for creatives.

Vivien’s passion is for colour, pattern and curves. The world of art exhilarates her as she strives to reinvent the landscape and to create dynamic and original perspectives on her subject. Her current project “LandEscapes” is her exploration into this field using varied media to create semi-abstract works, helping the viewer to see the landscape in an exciting contemporary light.

Vivien has also been working on a fresh approach to merchandising featuring local attractions, both natural and architectural, combined with her hand drawn lettering. She works from her studio near the coast in Southbourne, Dorset.
